To be eligible for a MIDOCs residency, you must:

• Be a U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized), U.S. national, Green Card holder or Lawful Permanent Resident

• Agree to forgo any subspecialty fellowship training for at least 2 years post-residency (*exception for child & adolescent psychiatry fellowship*)

• Sign an agreement to work in a medically underserved area of Michigan for 2 years post-residency. Learn more about the service obligation here 

 

Those Not Eligible for MIDOCs:

• Residents with J1 or J2 Visa Waivers

• Residents with H-1B Visas

• Residents with H-4 Visas
